Uv Mapping

 UV Mapping :
This is how you texture your objects in Maya.
The Tool Kit Below are the main tools for UV mapping 

We can add textures through Photoshop. 
To do this go to the texturing menu tap under the rendering menu and create psd Network.
This will export your UV map to Photoshop. then go file place linked. 
to add the texture image. 

Once the Texture is created in Photoshop save it as a tga file.
in Maya import the tga file through the color tab. 
*make sure you break the connection of the colour and transparency tabs first to do this right click them and go break connection.
